Ducale<\/strong>, il\u00a0<strong>centro del potere<\/strong>\u00a0della citt\u00e0 di\u00a0<strong>Venezia<\/strong>, residenza del\u00a0<strong>Doge<\/strong>\u00a0e sede della\u00a0<strong>magistratura<\/strong>. Definito da\u00a0<strong>Ruskin<\/strong>\u00a0come la fusione perfetta di Oriente e Occidente, \u00e8 l\u2019esempio perfetto del\u00a0<strong>gotico veneziano<\/strong>. Il motivo esterno, infatti, \u00e8 una tappezzeria fatta di mattoni bianchi e rosa alternati, in uno stile pi\u00f9 orientale che europeo. Il risultato \u00e8 un telo fiorito policromo unico al mondo. Un tempo il\u00a0<strong>Doge<\/strong>\u00a0si sarebbe affacciato al popolo dal balcone che d\u00e0 sul bacino, e sopra cui domina la figura della\u00a0<strong>Giustizia<\/strong>, uno dei simboli cardine di\u00a0<strong>Venezia<\/strong>.<\/p><p>A differenza di tutti gli altri centri di potere al mondo, come rocche e castelli, il\u00a0<strong>Palazzo Ducale<\/strong>\u00a0non aveva alcun ruolo difensivo, ma puramente estetico; se da una parte Venezia era protetta da una muraglia d\u2019acqua invalicabile, ci\u00f2 \u00e8 testimonianza di quanto i Veneziani fossero certi della propria superiorit\u00e0 marittima e militare.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-da72d62 elementor-widget elementor-widget-spacer\" data-id=\"da72d62\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"spacer.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer-inner\"><\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-acbfcc4 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"acbfcc4\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Colonne di Marco e Todaro<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ab704c7 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"ab704c7\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>In cima alle\u00a0<strong>due alte colonne<\/strong>, che rappresentano una sorta di entrata a\u00a0<strong>Piazza San Marco<\/strong>,\u00a0si trovano i\u00a0<strong>due patroni di Venezia<\/strong>: su una, il\u00a0<strong>leone alato<\/strong>\u00a0che rappresenta\u00a0<strong>San Marco<\/strong>\u00a0e la forza di\u00a0<strong>Venezia<\/strong>, e sull\u2019altra\u00a0<strong>San Todaro<\/strong>\u00a0che uccide il drago, antico protettore della citt\u00e0 prima di San Marco.<\/p><p>Le\u00a0<strong>colonne<\/strong>\u00a0arrivarono nell&#8217;\u00a0<strong>11esimo secolo<\/strong>, ma rimasero stese a terra per oltre un secolo, poich\u00e9 non vi era la tecnologia adatta per erigerle. Fu solo nel\u00a0<strong>1172<\/strong>\u00a0che l\u2019ingegnere\u00a0<strong>Nicol\u00f2 Barattieri<\/strong>\u00a0ebbe l\u2019intuizione di bagnare le corde tiranti con l\u2019acqua, le quali restringendosi sollevarono i monoliti. Come ricompensa per il suo ingegno, la\u00a0<strong>citt\u00e0<\/strong>\u00a0gli permise di praticare il gioco d\u2019azzardo tra le due colonne, altrimenti severamente bandito in tutta la\u00a0<strong>Repubblica<\/strong>. Dopo la sua morte, lo spazio tra le due colonne divent\u00f2 il luogo delle\u00a0<strong>esecuzioni capitali pubbliche<\/strong>, come monito alla popolazione.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-76357dc elementor-widget elementor-widget-spacer\" data-id=\"76357dc\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"spacer.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer-inner\"><\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f3ceb33 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"f3ceb33\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Bacino di San Marco <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-517cb89 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"517cb89\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Tra la\u00a0<strong>Punta della Dogana<\/strong>\u00a0e il\u00a0<strong>Palazzo Ducale<\/strong>\u00a0si trova il\u00a0<strong>Bacino di San Marco<\/strong>.<\/p><p>Di fronte al\u00a0<strong>Palazzo Ducale<\/strong>\u00a0si pu\u00f2 vedere l\u2019<strong>isola di San Giorgio Maggiore<\/strong>, con la<strong>\u00a0chiesa rinascimentale<\/strong>\u00a0edificata da\u00a0<strong>Palladio<\/strong>\u00a0a\u00a0<strong>met\u00e0 \u2018500<\/strong>.
