class=\"size-6\">Palazzo Grassi<\/span><\/strong>, located in\u00a0<strong>campo San Samuele<\/strong>\u00a0and facing the\u00a0<strong>Grand Canal<\/strong>, was the last palace built before the end of the\u00a0<strong>Venetian Republic<\/strong>, in\u00a0<strong>1772<\/strong>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-da72d62 elementor-widget elementor-widget-spacer\" data-id=\"da72d62\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"spacer.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ab704c7 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"ab704c7\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The\u00a0<strong>main stairwell<\/strong>\u00a0is frescoed by\u00a0<strong>Michelangelo Morlaiter and Francesco Zanchi<\/strong>, and the ceilings are decorated by the artists\u00a0<strong>Giambattista Canal<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Christian Griepenkerl<\/strong>. In\u00a0<strong>1840<\/strong>, the\u00a0<strong>Grassi family<\/strong>\u00a0sold the\u00a0<strong>palace<\/strong>, and it passed through the hands of several different owners before becoming the<strong>\u00a0International Centre of Arts and Costume in 1951<\/strong>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0c76a4d elementor-widget elementor-widget-spacer\" data-id=\"0c76a4d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"spacer.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">The Fiat Acquisition<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0104f33 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"0104f33\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>In\u00a0<strong>1983<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Palazzo Grassi<\/strong>\u00a0was bought by\u00a0<strong>Fiat<\/strong>\u00a0as a space for art and archaeology exhibitions, and the building was adapted by the Milanese architect\u00a0<strong>Gae Aulenti<\/strong>.\u00a0In\u00a0<strong>2005<\/strong>\u00a0the\u00a0<strong>Palace<\/strong>, that had been for years the location of important exhibitions on the great civilizations of the past, was taken over by\u00a0<strong>Fran<\/strong><strong>\u00e7<\/strong><strong>ois Pinault foundation<\/strong>, who begun a renovation project assigned to Japanese architect\u00a0<strong>Tadao Ando<\/strong>.<br \/><br \/>The result is a fascinating combination between Pinault collection and the historical location, that plays as a contrasting frame to the\u00a0<strong>contemporary art works.\u00a0<\/strong>The palace houses frequent\u00a0<strong>art exhibitions<\/strong>\u00a0with a selection of works coming from all over the world.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ba1e2fa elementor-align-center elementor-widget-mobile__width-inherit elementor-widget
