En 1700 fueron incluso declarados<strong>\u201cdulce nacional\u201d<\/strong> del Estado del V\u00e9neto. La receta original requer\u00eda ingredientes como leche de cabra, azafr\u00e1n y manteca de cerdo, y los preparaban los    <\/span><b>fritoleri<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">artesanos que vend\u00edan estas delicias calientes en las calles de Venecia.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I <\/span><strong><i>fritoleri<\/i><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">  se organizaban en un gremio de unos setenta miembros, cada uno con una zona exclusiva en la que ejercer su oficio. Preparaban la   <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">tortitas<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> amasando huevos, harina, az\u00facar, pasas sultanas y pi\u00f1ones en grandes mesas de madera, para luego fre\u00edrlos en sartenes gigantes.
